GOVERNOR PUNJAB GRACES CLOSING CEREMONY OF PADYATRA AGAINST DRUGS

The Four-day Anti-Drug Padyatra launched by Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria from Tarn Taran concluded at DAV College here today. The Governor commended Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA) president Dr. Anshu Kataria and member colleges for their active participation and dedication. He urged all stakeholders to continue working together to safeguard our young generation from the menace of drugs. 

The Governor highlighted the critical role educational institutions play in creating awareness among youth and congratulated PUCA members for their dedication to a Drug-Free Punjab. 

V.P. Singh, Principal Secretary to Governor, Amanpreet Kaur Sandhu Deputy Commissioner, Fazilka, Prof. (Dr.) Jagdeep Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Punjabi University, Shivdular Singh Dhillon, Secretary Punjab State Red Cross Society, Randhir Kumar, ADC (P) to Governor, Sandeep Jakhar MLA, Mayor Vimal Thatai and host college principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar Mahajan were present.

Dr. Anshu Kataria expressed his gratitude to the Governor and remarked that PUCA has always prioritized student welfare, regulatory compliance, and social responsibility. A special langar was organized for all participants at DAV Campus as part of the closing ceremony. 

On the occasion, Aryans Group of Colleges, Abhishek Group of Colleges, Jain College, Guru Ram Dass College, Meera College of Nursing, DAV College, DAV College of Education, Advocate Pankaj Beri, Rotary Club Rajpura, Kataria Foundation were honoured.
