CIA FAZILKA TEAM APPREHENDS 3 DRUG TRAFFICKERS WITH 4 KG HEROIN

Fazilka Police achieved another major success, as the CIA Fazilka team apprehended 3 persons with 4 kilograms of heroin.

Under the leadership of Inspector Sunil Kumar, Incharge CIA Fazilka, ASI Ranjit Singh along with a police party was patrolling in the area of Police Station Sadar Jalalabad for checking suspicious persons.

During this time, when the police party was moving near Jalla Lakhe Ke Hithar (Dhunkiyan) ahead of Dhani Bachan Singh towards the India-Pakistan border, three persons were seen moving suspiciously near a motor room in the fields, one of whom was holding a plastic bag in his hands. On seeing the police party, they tried to hide behind the motor room.

On the basis of suspicion, the police party apprehend the suspects, identified as Sanjeev Singh alias Sanju, Dheeraj Pal alias Dheeraj and Mandeep Singh alias Deepi residents of Jalla Lakhe Ke Hithar. As there was suspicion that they were carrying narcotics, Lovdeep Singh, SP, Jalalabad, was called to the spot, and the police party searched the bag in their possession. During the search, 4 kilograms of heroin were recovered.

A case, under Sections 21, 23, 29/61/85 of the NDPS Act, has been registered at Police Station Sadar Jalalabad against the accused. Further investigation and legal action are underway in the case.

SSP Gagan Ajit Singh said that preliminary investigation has revealed that this consignment of heroin was ordered from Pakistan through a drone by these traffickers. Earlier, these traffickers used to carry out drug trafficking through a trafficker from Kulgarhi, Ferozepur, who was recently arrested by Ferozepur Police and sent to jail. After that, they themselves contacted a trafficker in Pakistan and ordered this consignment of heroin, which was to be supplied further.
