“Apna Abohar, Apni Abha” team performed Sewa at the Shivpuri near Indira Nagari on the occasion of Maha Shivratri.
The holy festival attracts hundreds of devotees at the main cremation ground known as “Shivpuri” located on the Mahashya Kripa Ram Marg near Indira Nagari. Other such places are located near Nanak Nagari and Subhash Nagar where unending queues can be seen to celebrate the festival.
Other than the cremation grounds, more than 100-years-old gaushala also remains abuzz with festivities which somewhat differ from the other venues. The gaushala management has announced to make all the essentials available for rituals.
Feeling that a neat and clean environment needs to be assured to the devotees visiting the main Shivpuri, the “Apna Abohar, Apni Abha” team organised a special service camp on Sunday. The volunteers fanned out in each corner and carried out vigorous cleaning. Waste material was removed using tractor-trolley.
