SEHAJJOT SR. SEC. SCHOOL, DHANAS CELEBRATES ANNUAL FUNCTION WITH GRANDEUR AT PU LAW AUDITORIUM

The Annual Function of Sehajjot Sr. Sec. School, Dhanas, was organized with great enthusiasm and splendor at the Law Auditorium, Panjab University, Sector 14, Chandigarh. The event marked a vibrant culmination of the academic year, showcasing the talents and achievements of students across various fields.

The Annual Function is a high-energy celebration that provides students with a platform to exhibit their talents in dance, music, drama, and the arts. The event fosters a strong sense of community, celebrates achievements through awards, and builds confidence among students after months of dedicated preparation and teamwork. The auditorium was filled with proud parents, respected dignitaries, and well-wishers who applauded the remarkable performances.

The program commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge and enlightenment. This was followed by the Principal’s Annual Report, highlighting the significant academic milestones, co-curricular accomplishments, and overall progress of the school during the year.

The Chief Guest for the occasion, Arun Sood (Ex-Mayor and Ex-President, BJP, Chandigarh), graced the event with his esteemed presence. In his address, he applauded the dedication and hard work of the students and staff. He remarked, “It is heartening to witness such vibrant talent and confidence among students. True education goes beyond textbooks—it nurtures character, creativity, and a sense of responsibility towards society.” He emphasized the importance of holistic development in shaping responsible citizens of tomorrow.

The event was further honored by the gracious presence of the Guests of Honour — Ruby Gupta (District Wise President, Mahila Wing), Priya Paswan (Yuva Morcha General Secretary), Sandeep Kaur (Mahila Morcha Zila Adhyaksh), and Prem Kaushik. Their presence added dignity to the function, and they appreciated the school’s continuous efforts toward nurturing talent and promoting value-based education.

Principal Daljeet Singh addressed the gathering and expressed pride in the achievements of the students. In his words, “Our Annual Function is not just a celebration of performances, but a reflection of our commitment to holistic education. We strive to nurture not only academic excellence but also creativity, discipline, and strong values in our students.”

The cultural segment featured mesmerizing dance performances, melodious musical presentations, and a thought-provoking thematic play conveying the importance of holistic education. Each presentation reflected creativity, discipline, and the collaborative spirit of the students and staff.

The function concluded with an award ceremony recognizing excellence in academics as well as extracurricular activities. The proud awardees were greeted with resounding applause from the audience. The event came to a dignified close with the singing of the National Anthem.
