An intense encounter broke out between police and miscreants in Sadulshehar (Sriganganagar) area this evening, adjacent to the Punjab border. While running during the encounter, 5 miscreants fell from the canal bridge near Dhingtania village. All the injured miscreants have been admitted to Sadulshehar Hospital.

According to police information, the miscreants who opened fire in Kheruwala and Chhapianwali areas a few days ago were planning to commit a major crime. As soon as information was received about the presence of miscreants around Dhingtania bridge, the team of Anti Gangster Task Force in-charge of Sriganganagar outpost Ram Vilas Bishnoi and Sadulshehar SHO Malkiat Singh took immediate action. During this operation conducted under the supervision of ASP Deepak Sharma, the miscreants fired at the police, in response to which the police retaliated. While trying to escape, 5 suspects fell down from the bridge. Police have recovered 3 pistols, a dozen cartridges and a car from the encounter site. Cases of murder, attempt to murder and robbery are already registered against the miscreants.

The police are also investigating other organized crimes related to these miscreants. The identity of these miscreants has not been revealed yet.
