With the arrest of accused Rekha r/o- Sultanpuri Delhi Age-32 Yrs. a case registered at PS-Sultanpuri vide FIR No. 863/2017 Dt. 09/12/17 u/s-323/354B/509/34 IPC & 8/12 POCSO Act has been solved.
INCIDENT:-
On 09/12/17, a complaint of minor child was received at PS-Sultanpuri, Delhi in which complainant had stated that her neighbor Pradeep had beaten her on a minor issue of lifting CHARPAI. Pradeep also abused, threatened her.
In the said incident Pradeep’s wife Rekha was also involved and she supported her husband and beat, abused and threatened the complainant.
Vichitra Veer, IPS, DCP, Crime-III, said, case was registered under sections 323/354B/509/34 IPC in PS-Sultanpuri, Delhi. Later section 8/12 of POCSO Act was also added during the investigation. Accused Pradeep was arrested in present case but his wife Rekha managed to evade arrest. She was later declared a proclaimed offender by the concerned court and later a reward of Rs.20,000/ was declared by Delhi Police on her arrest.(SUBHEAD)
W/HC Seema and HC Pardeep of NR-II were deployed to collect the intelligence of rewarded criminals. They received an input about the whereabouts of a lady accused namely Rekha, who was declared a PO in a case of 2017 under sections 323/354B/509/34 IPC & 8/12 POCSO Act registered at PS-Sultanpuri, Delhi. On the basis of the said information a team consisting of SI Sanjeev Gupta, ASI Parvir, W/HC Seema, HC Pradeep, HC Ashok, HC Ajay was constituted under the leadership of Insp. Deepak Pandey and overall supervision of ACP Sh. Narender Singh. The raiding team laid a trap in the vicinity of Mangolpuri, Delhi area and apprehended Rekha.
Rekha belongs to an economically weak family, so after 7th standard, she left schooling and started working as a household maid. In 2010, she got married to Pradeep. Later on Pradeep became alcoholic. In 2017, when Pradeep got arrested in the present case, she hid herself to evade arrest and also to get rid of Pradeep. She kept on changing her address frequently to avoid being identified.
