Due to a dispute between two business partners, a court in Derabassi has put a legal stay on the ongoing Metrotown and Promonade projects in Pirmuchalla. The stay order was issued after a breach of trust between the two partners and the use of forged papers by one of them.
As per the details, Naresh Singla and Jagdev Singh are business partners and they were constructing Metrotown (by M/s Parkwood Promoters) and Promonade (by Skyrise Builders) in Peermuchalla area. Controversy arose when Jagdev Singh got some flats constructed without consent and fraudulently got some forged papers made. On this Singla approached the court to stop the construction work.
(SUBHEAD)According to Naresh Singla, his wife was diagnosed with cancer, due to which he got busy getting treatment. Meanwhile, his partner committed fraud. Derabassi Civil Judge Ramesh Kumar, PCS, prima facie found the allegation to be true and stayed the sale of movable and immovable property and any further construction work. The court also froze the bank accounts of the partnership firm during the pendency of the matter.
Lawyer Sunil Tony, appearing for Singla, presented his side in court. The Hon'ble Judge, after hearing the arguments of the lawyer, issued an order in favor of Naresh Singla and stayed the controversial construction works with immediate effect. Among the two projects, Promonade is a commercial property.
