It is a matter of pride for the district SAS Nagar today when the Municipal Corporation SAS Nagar and Municipal Committee Kharar won the National Swacchta awards under the Swachh Bharat Mission in a function organised by the Central Government in New Delhi.
Disclosing this in a press communique Mrs. Navjot Kaur, Commissioner, Municiapal Corporation Mohali said that under Swach Bharat Mission, Indian swachta league was launched on 17th September 2022 throughout India.
(SUBHEAD)Various activities were planned for the youth participation and community mobilization for cleaner and greener cities. District SAS Nagar has been awarded 2 prizes under categories namely Municipal committee kharar in 50k to 1 lakh population and Municipal Corporation Mohali in 1 lakh to 3 lakh population.
Award received for MC Mohali received by Dr. Damandeep Kaur PCS Joint Commissioner and Varinder Jain, Assistant Commissioner while award for Municipal Committee Kharar by EO Manbir Singh Gill and President Jaspreet Kaur
Awards were conferred by Shri Kaushal Kishore, Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs of India and Joint Secy Mouha Ms Roopa Mishra IAS.
