SPECIAL TRAINING PROGRAM ON “SIGNIFICANCE OF DNA EVIDENCE IN INVESTIGATION CONDUCTED FOR POLICE PERSONNELS

Under the guidance of Sh. Praveer Ranjan, IPS, DGP, U.T. Chandigarh and under the supervision of Sh. Manoj Kumar Meena, IPS, SSP, Headquarters & Training, a special Training Program on “Significance of DNA Evidence in Investigation” has been conducted for Chandigarh Police personnel in Recruit Training Centre, Sector-26, Chandigarh. 53 police personnel (Inspector/SHO, IOs of Police Station, Crime Branch, Operations cell & EOW) attended this training program.

Sh. Keshav Kumar IPS (Retd.) Director General of Police and Director Anti-Corruption Bureau, Gujarat and Guest Faculty from National Forensic Science University Gandhinagar, Gujarat delivered lecture to the participants.

It was a very informative session and feedback of participant was excellent.
The main objective of this training program is to aware the Chandigarh Police Personnel for uses of Forensic Investigation & Collection of DNA from various locations/places of crime as well as objects.
