INTERSTATE FRAUDSTER/FAKE RICE PADDY MERCHANT ARRESTED FOR DUPING BUSINESSMAN FOR THREE CRORES

The case was registered on the complaint of Mr. Narender Kumar, who alleged that he runs his business under the name and style of M/s Banarsi Das Om Prakash in Delhi. Accused persons namely Deepak Kishore Saxena and Ritikesh Rai themselves approached the complainant for supply of rice paddy.

They allured the complainant and succeeded in getting rice paddy of approx. Rs. 4.81 Crores.Thereafter, accused persons pledged the rice paddy to Agro NBFC and got disbursed loan of approx. 6 Crores. From the said loan amount, accused persons made payment of approx. Rs. 1.91 Crores to the complainant and further sold out all the rice paddy, due to which complainant got wrongful loss of approx. Rs. 2.89 Crores. When complainant repeatedly asked for his remaining payment, alleged persons issued 11 post-dated cheques of the balance amount of Rs. 2.89 Crores, however, all cheques were dishonoured due to insufficient funds.(SUBHEAD)

MODUS OPERANDI: Mr. Jitendra Kumar Meena, IPS, DCP, EOW, said,  accused along with his accomplice took rice paddy after making payment of initial amount to the complainant and thereafter, took loan from Agro NBFC by pledging those paddy. From the said loan, they paid half amount to the complainant and further sold out all the rice paddy in the market. They issued PDCs, which were dishonoured on presentation. They have been committing crime with the same modus operandi in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.

ARRESTA team comprising of Insp. Bharat Bhushan and Ct. Tejpal No. 247/EOW under the supervision of Sh. Manoj Kumar, ACP/EOW and overall supervision of Sh. Jitendra Kumar Meena, DCP/EOW was formed. Efforts were made to trace the accused, who was found to be absconding. Based on technical surveillances,the accused Deepak Kishore Saxena was finally apprehended on 17.01.2023 from East Azad Nagar, Delhi, the accused was produced before the designated Court. Further investigation of the case is in progress.
