₹1.75 CRORE DEFRAUDED BY TENDERING FORGED PROPERTY PAPERS – ‘NATWARLAL’-STYLE CON EXPOSED. • ₹50,000 REWARDED ACCUSED ON THE RUN FOR NEARLY A YEAR – AATS DWARKA TRACKS HIM TO SONIPAT.

A rewarded, in fact the main fraudster carrying Rs. 50,000/- bounty, nabbed. Complainant, a senior citizen retired from government service, was duped of Rs. 1.76 Cr. on the pretext of sale and purchase of multiple plots of land by the accused persons. The main rewarded accused was arrested.
o ₹1.75 crore pension corpus targeted.o During 2024–2025, Brahm Swaroop Bhardwaj and his male/female associates allegedly cheated a senior citizen.o Complainant: retired Government servant, a former Pharmacist at Tihar Jail.
o ₹1.75 crore pension corpus allegedly targeted through fraudulent sale of multiple plots using forged papers.o FIR No. 730/25, P.S. Ranhola registered.o Accused absconded; NBWs obtained.o ₹50,000 reward declared on five wanted accused vide order dated 03.09.2026.As directed by Sh. Kushal Pal Singh, IPS, DCP/Dwarka District, a special drive against absconding and rewarded criminals is being continuously conducted across Dwarka District. AATS Dwarka has been tasked with identifying, tracking and apprehending such criminals.
In pursuance of the directions, a dedicated team comprising SI Jitender, HC Sonu No. 1684/DW, HC Manoj No. 1820/DW and W/HC Mamta No. 2813/DW was constituted to trace and apprehend absconders and rewarded criminals.
The operation was led by Insp. Manish Yadav, AATS Dwarka, under the close supervision of ACP/Operations Sh. Subhash Malik and in overall guidance of DCP/Dwarka District.
o Accused in the present case was taken up for focused surveillance.
OPERATION — SEVEN DAYS, ONE TARGET:-
o 7 days of technical and manual surveillance conducted. o Leads developed through technical inputs and field verification.o Accused traced to Sonipat, Haryana.o Apprehended on 13.09.2026, ending nearly one year of absconding.
THE ACCUSED — A ‘NATWARLAL’ STYLE PROPERTY CON:-
• Brahm Swaroop Bhardwaj, 67 years, Property dealer, allegedly operating with male and female relatives/associates.
o Modus operandi allegedly involved property deals, forged documents and targeting the victim’s pension corpus.
o Arrested vide Kalandra and produced before the Hon’ble Court.Further investigation is under way, said Mr. Kushal Pal Singh, IPIS DCP Dwarka Distt.
