ACHIEVEMENT : STUDENTS OF DEV SAMAJ SCHOOL DECLARED WINNERS AT NATIONAL MUSIC COMPETITION

The Students of I. S. Dev Samaj Sr. Sec. School, Sector-21C, Chandigarh, have made the 'City Beautiful' proud at the national level. A batch of 'music students' from the school were conferred with the title Gandharva Bhushan(Winners) in 'Jhankriti' a ‘Light Music’ competition conducted by World Forum of Art & Culture, Art of Living and Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India.

(MOREPIC1)  The students received the title from renowned vocalist Sudha in the presence of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the founder 'Art of Living', Tim Draper- an American Investor, G. Kishan Reddy, Minister of Tourism,India and other eminent artists from across India at Bengaluru recently.

Speaking on the occasion, Sabeeha Dhillon Mangat, Principal of I. S. Dev Samaj Sr. Sec. School congratulated the winners and appreciated the efforts put up by the students and also the teacher Mr. Jaspal Kaundal PGT Music who imparted training to the students to achieve this feat.

She said, “Participating at Jhankriti is in itself a big achievement which aims to preserve and promote Indian classic art forms and participants across India take part in the festival. I believe that this achievement will certainly boost the morale of the students and inspire them to continue their creative journey in future.”
