The prime accused Sahil Gahlot was interrogated at length during police custody remand.
After sustained interrogation,he disclosed that the deceased was asking him not to marry another girl because both(Sahil and deceased)had already solemnised their marriage in the year 2020; she was actually his wife and not a live in partner.
Therefore she was pleading him not to go ahead with the marriage fixed by his family with another girl on 10.02.2023. Thereafter,they hatched the conspiracy and planned to remove the deceased from their way.(SUBHEAD)
Accordingly,Sahil Gahlot executed the plan and murdered her and informed the other co-accused persons about it on the same day i.e. 10.02.2023 and then all of them went ahead with the marriage ceremony.
All the 5 co-accused (father,two cousins Ashish and Naveen ( a constable in Delhi Police and close relative of main accused Sahil) and two friends Amar and Lokesh)were thoroughly interrogated and arrested after verifying and ascertaining their role.
The crime branch is evestigating the case of murder of Jhajjar Girl which was registered under section IPC 120 B, 201, 202, 212 at police station Baba Haridas Nagar district Dwarka,
The accused strangulated the deceased with the help of a data cable of his mobile in his car in the intervening night of 9/10 Feb., 2023 and stuffed the dead body in a refrigerator kept at his dhaba at Mitraon village, Delhi. The accused and the deceased were in a relationship since past few years.
