BRAHMA KUMARIS DOING COMMENDABLE WORK IN WOMEN EMPOWERMENT: MISHRA

On the occasion of Trimurti Shiv Jayanti a function was organised at the Rajyoga Bhavan here today. BSF Sector Headquarter Commandant S. K. Mishra and Municipal Corporation Mayor Vimal Thatai unfurled the Shiva Flag.

Center in-charge BK Pushplata welcomed the chief guests by applying vermillion on their forehead. Hundreds of people showered flowers. On the occasion, balloons carrying the message of world peace were also released in the air.

The stage was conducted by BK Sunita whileBK Darshana threw light on the importance of Trimurti Shiv Jayanti. BK Shalu presented bouquets. Mehak presented the welcome dance. The dignitaries started the program by lighting the lamp and also cut the Shiv Jayanti cake. Commandant Mishra and Mayor Thatai werepresented divine gifts on behalf of the organization.(SUBHEAD)

BSF Commandant Mishra said that the Brahma Kumaris organization mainly run by women across the world has taken valuable steps in the direction of women empowerment. Praising the anti-drug and environmental protection campaign, he said that the people living in the border areas should be inspired to cooperate with the local administration and security forces to stop the illegal trade of drugs, only then we can fulfill our moral responsibility towards the country.

Mayor Vimal Thatai said that apart from cleanliness, the effort being made by the organization to bring changes in the lifestyle is commendable. Lekhak Parishad president Raj Sadosh said that with the inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the organization has now started Jal Jan Abhiyan, we can be a part of it by saving water.
