ONE RITZ CAR USED IN CRIME RECOVERED, FIRED ON A SANT FOR NOT INVITING IN A BHANDARA

Team of AGS/Crime Branch, on the basis of specific information has apprehended an accused named Sikander @ Rohit, 27 years r/o Baprola, Nangloi, Delhi from Chhawla Bijwasan Road. The accused Sikander @ Rohit is involved in a recent attempt to murder case of Najafgarh area. Accused along-with his associates namely Sushil Dass (self-acclaimed Sant) attacked Akash Nath, a Sant of Mandir Rana Ji Enclave. In this firing incident, the target Akash Nath escaped narrowly but one of his devotees sustained bullet injury.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 86/2023 dated 15.02.23 u/s 307/34 IPC r/w 25/27 Arms Act PS Najafgarh, Delhi was registered. From the possession of accused Sikander @ Rohit, one Ritz car which was used in crime has also been recovered.
The accused Sikander @ Rohit is a sharp shooter of Ashok Pardhan-Neetu Dabodhiya Gang. At the instance of Ashok Pardhan, in the year 2017, he had killed Kala Aasodiya, a member of Neeraj Bawana Gang, He was being produced in Jhajjar Courts by the Police. Neeraj Bawania is the rival gang of the Ashok Pardhan Gang.
A team of AGS, Crime Branch led by Insp Krishan Kumar and Insp Gulshan, comprising of SI Sachin, HCs Vinod, Deepak, Narender, Shyam Sunder, Mintu, Pappu, Dharamraj, Omvir under the close supervision of Sh. Naresh Kumar, ACP/AGS was constituted by Sh. Amit Goel, DCP/Crime & Sh. S.D Mishra, Jt.CP/Crime to nab the gangsters involved in this incidents.
Sources were deployed to track the accused. A secret information was received by HCs Shyam Sunder & Omvir, regarding movement of the accused in Najafgarh- Chhawla drain area. Thereafter, on the basis of secret information, a raid was conducted and the accused Sikander @ Rohit was intercepted in a Ritz car at Chhawla drain. The accused Sikander @ Rohit belongs to a mediocre family residing in Baprola, Najafgarh area and has studied upto 10th standard from a Govt. school in Najafgarh. In the year 2016, during his schooling, he came in contact of one Rohit @ Lamba, a close associate and sharp shooter of Ashok Pardhan Gang. He remained involved in cases of carjacking and robbery etc. as juvenile with his childhood friends Rohit @ Lamba, both residents of the same locality.
Later he came in contact with dreaded gangsters Ashok Pradhan r/o Nilothi & Rajesh Durmut etc. who were members of Neetu Dabodhia gang and befriended with them. The gang members also remained involved in robbing illegal satta operators/betting books in different parts of West, South-West & Rohini districts of Delhi but nobody dared to complain against the gangsters.
On 09.01.2017, the accused Sikander @ Rohit along his associates Rohit @ Lamba , Balli @ Vittal, Pradeep Hooda & others robbed Rs.70,000/- from a satta/betting book being run by one Akram Khan in area of PS Uttam Nagar after firing several rounds. Two persons sustained severe bullet injuries in the incident. A case vide FIR No. 14/17 dated 09.01.2017 u/s 307/201/394/397/34 IPC r/w 25/27 Arms Act was registered in PS Uttam Nagar, Delhi.
Thereafter, on 22.03.2017, the accused Sikander @ Rohit alongwith his associates Ashok Pradhan, Rohit @ Balli @ Vittal, Lalit Rathi, Rohit @ Lamba and others shot dead Kala Aasodia in police custody in Jhajjar courts complex, while he was being produced in the court by the police. A case vide FIR No. 221/17 dated 22.03.2017 u/s 307/302/332/353/34 IPC r/w 25/27 Arms Act was registered in PS Jhajjar, Haryana. The murder was committed in retaliation of killing of Ashok Pradhan’s brother by Kala Aasodia.
Mr. Ravindra Singh Yadav, ,IPS, Special Commissioner of Police, Crime, said, most of the gang members including Rohit @ Balli @ Vittal, Lalit Rathi, Sikander were arrested by the local police while the gang leader Ashok Pradhan and Rohit @ Lamba were absconding and later on were arrested by Crime Branch. One of their gang members Rajesh Durmut was shot dead outside Rohini Courts Complex by the rival Neeraj Bawania gang on 29.04.2017 in Rohini Courts Complex, while he was being produced in the courts by Haryana Police. Vikram @ Bakra r/o Kair, another gang member was killed on 14.10.2016 by the rivals.
Presently, the gang leader Ashok Pradhan and Sikander @ Rohit were planning to kill rival gangster Neeraj Bawania and his associates lodged in different jails during their production in courts in order to take revenge of killing of their associates by the members of Neeraj Bawania gang.
The gang was earlier led by desperate Neetu Dabodhia, who was killed in an encounter by Delhi Police in October, 2013. The gang had created terror in various parts of Delhi, Haryana and Punjab by committing a series of consecutive murders in gang-wars and also indulged in big robberies etc.

After death of the gang leader Neetu Dabodhia, Ashok Pradhan r/o Village Nilothi, Bahadurgarh, Haryana took over the command of the gang, who is adding budding criminals to the gang. This gang has recently been associated with gang of the dreaded Manjeet Mahal, active in West, South-West and Outer District of Delhi and adjoining areas of Haryana while their rivals are Krishan Pahalwan gang & Neeraj Bawania gang. Neeraj Bawania is presently lodged in Tihar jail in MCOCA case.
PREVIOUS INVOLVEMENT OF ACCUSED : Case FIR No. 221/2017 u/s 302/307/332/353 IPC, PS Jhajjar, Haryana., Case FIR No. 222/2017 u/s 307/353/186 IPC, PS Jhajjar, Haryana, Case FIR No. 14/2017 u/s 307/201/394/397/34 IPC & 25/27/54/59 Arms Act, PS Uttam Nagar, Delhi.
MOTIVE OF THE CASE: On 13.02.2022, victim Sant Akash Nath had organised a Bhandara in the temple situated at Rana Ji Enclave, Najafgarh and invited all the nearby Sants of the Nath community. One Sushil Dass r/o Village Baprola also proclaims to be Sant of the Nath community. He is married and having a temple in his house at village Baprola. He was not invited to the Bhandara and he was not happy with that.
He along with accused Sikander @ Rohit and others reached the temple at Rana Ji Enclave, Najafgarh and starting arguing with Akash Nath by saying why was he not invited in the Bhandara. During the heated arguments, one Pradeep @ Habbu and the accused Sikander @ Rohit took out their pistols. Accused Pradeep @ Habbu fired targetting Sant Akash Nath. But somehow, Akash Nath escaped narrowly but one of his devotees sustained bullet injury.
Thereafter, all the accused persons ran away from there. The accused Pradeep @ Habbu has been convicted in a murder of a Delhi Police Constable in the year 2011 of PS Ranhaula, Delhi, wherein the constable was killed over a land dispute. At present, the accused Pradeep @ Habbu was on interim bail.
