ALL INDIA POLICE BADMINTON CHAMPIONSHIP 2022-23

The Chandigarh Police is hosting 15th All India Police Badminton Championship-2022-23 conducted from 20th to 26th February 2023. In this Championship, 37 Teams from 24-States, 5-UTs and 8-CPOs with the total 519-participants have participated with huge gaiety. The league matches of team events were played between 8 teams i.e. CRPF, Maharashtra, Manipur, Punjab, Telangana, Kerala, Uttrakhand, Mizoram.

On Tuesday , the knockout matches on second day of the tournament were played in full enthusiasm and good sports spirit at Badminton Hall, Sports Complex, Sector-7, Chandigarh.

(SUBHEAD)The four teams in a team event had qualified for semifinal i.e. CRPF vs Manipur and Mizoram vs Kerala. The final team event match was played between Mizoram and CRPF in which CRPF team won the final match.

The prize distribution ceremony was held in the evening with warm presence of Sh. Nitin Kumar Yadav, IAS, Home Secretary, UT, Chandigarh, Sh. Raj Kumar Singh, IPS, IGP/UT, Ms. Manisha Chaudhary, SSP/Security & Traffic, Sh. Manoj Kumar Meena, SSP/Headquarters, Ms. Shruti Arora, IPS, SP/City, Sh Ram Gopal, Asstt. Organizing Secretary/DSP/CID, Sh. Surinder Mahajan, Competition Manager, coaches and other Senior Officers. The Guest of Honour Sh. Nitin Kumar Yadav, IAS, Home Secretary, UT, gave away the prizes to teams of 1st place (CRPF team), 2nd place (Mizoram team) and 3rd place (Kerala and Manipur teams).
