Swami Brahmavihari, incharge of the Hindu Mandir project in Abu Dhabi, had an hour-long meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He expressed gratitude to Modi, on behalf of Mahant Swami Maharaj and BAPS worldwide, for inaugurating Pramukh Swami Maharaj Centenary Celebrations.
When told that the entire festival ground, spread over 600-acre land, had been vacated and restored to the farmers, the PM said, “It was one of its kind, so huge and so well-planned, I am happy that it was celebrated flawlessly, without a single glitch or hitch.”
Swami ji updated the PM on the upcoming BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi. The PM was particularly interested in the 300 hi-tech sensors installed throughout the Mandir, which provide valuable live data of pressure, temperature, settlement, deflection and stresses created by seismic movements, among other things.(SUBHEAD)
Swami Brahmavihari tied a nadachhadi on Modi’s wrist. Modi ji recalled how Pramukh Swami Maharaj used to reassure him that God would always guide and guard him and provide strength to serve the nation and the world at large. Swami Brahmavihari also conveyed blessings from Mahant Swami Maharaj, urging the PM to continue his efforts in not just leading the nation, but also in uniting world leaders to achieve global peace.
Swami Brahmavihari presented a copy of the book “In Love, At Ease: Everyday Spirituality with Pramukh Swami”, authored by Professor Yogi Trivedi, professor of journalism at the University of Columbia. The meeting emphasized the vital role that cultural and spiritual values play in developing nations through community support and government cooperation.
