In a horrific accident took place in Solan district on Tuesday morning on Kalka-Shimla National Highway near Dharampur, when a speeding innova crushed 9 people resulting five deaths on the spot.
It is said that in this accident, 5 people persons were died on the spot whereas four other injured rushed to nearby hospitals, where they were battling for life. Later two of them shifted to PGIMR Chandigarh in precarious condition.
As soon as the information about the accident was received, the local police and an ambulance vehicle were rushed to the spot. The Labourers were crushed when they were going on feet for work on National Highway
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri has expressed deep condolence over the road accident that took place on Tuesday morning at Dharampur in Solan district.(SUBHEAD)
He said that the district administration has been instructed to provide proper treatment to the injured and quick relief to the accident victims. Expressing deep condolences to the bereaved family members, the Chief Minister has prayed to God to make them bear this unbearable sorrow. He has also wished for speedy recovery of the injured in this accident.
In the meantime administration said, the Innova was being driven by 23-year-old Rajesh Kumar of Khadoli village near Gadkhal. He is being interrogated in custody. It is so far learned that he was on his way to Parwanoo-Kalka when the incident took place.
DECEASED: Those who died in the accident have been identified as Guddu Yadav, Raja Verma and Nippu Nishad, residents of Ward No. 7, West Chhapra, Bihar. Apart from this, one person 36 years old Moti Lal Yadav resident of Thadimar Kushinagar Uttar Pradesh and 29 years old Sunny resident of Kushinagar Uttar Pradesh are included.
2 injured Aditya (26) s/o Harinder Patel r/o village Kokilpatti, Baikunthpur Kothi, Kushinagar UP and Babudeen s/o Bhagal Miyan r/o Godhgola Ghat, Dubri, Post Office Fatehpur have been referred to PGI Chandigarh and two others injured Mahesh (25), son of Rambhajan resident Ghazipur, Kushinagar UP and Arjun Rai son Subhash Rai resident Kushinagar UP were shifted to MMU Hospital after first aid at Dharampur Hospital.
