BATTLE AXE CYCLING EXPEDITION FLAGGED OFF

An Indian Army Cycling Expedition is being organized under the aegis of Battle Axe Division of Desert Corps. A team of 10 warriors of 'Battle Axe' will be covering a total distance of 820 kms from Mount Abu to Statue of Unity, Kevadiya, Gujarat.

The Expedition was flagged off by Brigadier S. Ramakrishna from Mount Abu. Cyclists from IAF Station and CRPF Academy Mount Abu joined for the initial leg of the rally along with civil enthusiasts. Enroute, NCC Cadets, members from various Cyclist Clubs, Doctor's Association of Red Cross and Balanisore have pledged to join the rally. The expedition will culminate on 23 Mar 2023 commemorating the Shaheed Diwas of our bravehearts Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev.

The expedition is themed as 'Cycling for Unity' and the participants would be carrying the message of 'One India, Fit India, Hit India' by interacting with the young students, Armed Forces aspirants and civil society members enroute.
