The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case against a Commandant, CRPF, Lucknow(Uttar Pradesh) on the allegations of acquisition/possession of disproportionate assets to the tune of approximately Rs.5.61 Crore(108% of his income). Searches were conducted at 04 places including at Lucknow, Noida, Mirzapur(all in Uttar Pradesh) & Delhi.
During searches, investments in immovable properties at Ranchi, Varanasi, Noida & Yamuna Expressway worth Rs.4.6 Crore in the name of accused & his family members ; deposits to the tune of Rs.1.02 Crore in the bank accounts ; transactions of money worth Rs. 6.18 Crore in the bank account of accused, family members & companies controlled by them and various documents related to acquisition of movable/immovable assets including jewellery, purchase of shares etc. worth crores were found.
Investigation is continuing.
