STRAP- GOVERNMENT SHOULD BE READY TO FACE THE MUSIC

BJP State Vice President and Former Health Minister, Sardar Balbir Singh Sidhu said that new office hours from 7:30 am to 2 PM as announced by the Chief Minister will strongly hamper the output of the government works. He added that this unprecedented decision will adversely affect the state's economy.
He said that 9-5 working hours have been followed since the establishment of the government working system. Accordingly, the daily operations of the government departments are managed. He added that this will directly impact public works at a larger scale.
Former Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu, said, in order to hide their own lapses one cannot punish the employees and public for vague reasons. He continued saying that today they made a significant change in the working hours taking plea of the power consumption tomorrow they will ask the government employees to stop using fans, lights and air conditioners to enhance the consumption.
He added that such headless decisions directly impacts the State's image at national level.
(SUBHEAD)Limiting public dealing till 2 pm will invite public protest from all corners as many have to travel more than 100 km to reach the district administration offices to accomplish their work. Not only this, even employees travel long distances to reach their offices who even have to complete their daily chores before 9.
He added that employees and stakeholders are going to face many inconveniences. Sidhu predicted that this will collapse within 10 days or face the music.
