ACTIVITIES ORGANISED TO DEVELOP VARIOUS SKILLS

Under the new education policy, LRS DAV Sr Sec Model School has taken up various activities for the development of various skills in the VII grade students as per the skill curriculum.

Principal Smita Sharma said that the activities included baking, sewing, embroidery, clay making, first aid knowledge, health and beauty skills. Making pot lids, small and big lamps, flower vases, piggy banks was displayed and taught by expert potters in the school. Baking, cupcakes and cake making tricks were taught by Ritu Juneja. Gurparneet Kaur said that handicraft is such an artistic work which is useful for decorating.

It was taught by showing the beautiful decoration of lamps and the children did it themselves. In-depth lessons in sewing and embroidery were taught by Sunita Sachdeva. Poonam gave tips to maintain beauty by practicing yoga under Beauty and Wellness. Jaspreet Kaur told what to do when doctors are not available nearby for treatment. Students from class III to class X showed their brilliant skills in the class room decoration competition.
