Border Security Force (BSF) troops shot down drone entered from Pakistan and later recovered from fields.
BSF spokesman from Jalandhar Punjab Frontier said on Sunday. on the basis of information from CI Gurdaspur, a Joint search operation by BSF & CI Gurdaspur was launched in the depth area near bordering Village – Shahpur Goraya, District – Gurdaspur.(SUBHEAD)
During search, a drone (Quadcopter, DJI Matrice 300 RTK) was recovered from the farming field of Village – Shahpur Goraya, District –Gurdaspur. The drone was recovered during harvesting of wheat crops.
It is pertinent to mention that the recovered drone is in the all likelihood the one that had intruded from Pakistan to India side on the night and was detected by forward deployed BSF troops and was fired upon. This drone was not reported to have returned to Pakistan territory afterintrusion.
