CBI FILES SUPPLEMENTARY CHARGESHEET AGAINST SISODIA , THREE OTHERS IN EXCISE POLICY

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a supplementary chargesheet against then Dy. Chief Minister of GNCTD, Delhi  Manish Sisodia and three others including Director of a private company based at New Delhi before the Designated Court, Delhi in an on-going investigation of a case related to alleged irregularities in framing & implementation of the excise policy of GNCTD.

The instant case was registered on 17.08.2022 against Deputy Chief Minister & In-charge Excise Minister, GNCTD of Delhi and 14 others for investigation into the matter of alleged irregularities in framing & implementation of Excise Policy for the year 2021-22 and extending post tender benefits to private persons.

Searches were also conducted at the premises of accused at several locations including in Delhi,  Gurugram, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Bengaluru etc. which led to recovery of incriminating documents/articles, digital records. 

During investigation, then Dy.CM, GNCTD and few others were arrested.
