FORMER CHIEF MINISTER OF PUNJAB PARKASH SINGH BADAL PASSED AWAY

S Parkash Singh Badal (95), Former Chief Minister of Punjab, passed away on Tuesday evening.He was admitted at Fortis Hospital Mohali on 16th April 2023 with acute exacerbation of bronchial asthma. He was shifted to the medical ICU on 18th April as his respiratory condition worsened.

He had been on NIV and HFNC support along with medical management.

He was being managed under Prof (Dr) Digambar Behera along with the Pulmonology and critical care team supported by Cardiology.

Despite appropriate medical management S Parkash Singh Badal succumbed to his illness. Fortis Hospital Mohali deeply condoles the death of S Parkash Singh Badal.

Meanwhile Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh today expressed profound grief over the sad demise of Sardar Parkash Singh Badal, a veteran political stalwart and five-time Chief Minister of Punjab.

In his condolence message to his son and Shiromani Akali Dal-Badal president, Sukhbir Singh Badal, Capt Amarinder said he shared the family’s grief over this irreparable loss. He said it was not only a loss to the family, but to the entire state and the country as a whole.

Capt Amarinder said Sardar Badal was a towering leader who commanded respect across the states and across the party lines. His absence will be felt for a long time and the void created will be difficult to be filled.
