Border Security Force (BSF) troops deployed in depth area, on the outskirts of Village – Daoke, Distt – Amritsar, heard sound of dropping something in the nearby farming fields on Sunday Morning
The whole area was immediately cordoned and all concerned sister agencies were informed.
During search of the depth area, BSF troops recovered one bag from the farming field.
On opening, 04 packets of suspected heroin (Gross wt – appx 1.590 Kgs) were recovered from the bag. An iron ring and a small torch were also found attached with the bag. Further search of the area is in progress.
BSF spokesman said, smugglers are trying hard to smuggle contraband using drones, but their nefarious attempts are foiled by the sincere efforts by BSF.
