ONE INJURED IN AN OPEN FIRING INCIDENT IN FEROZEPORE

One person was injured in a firing incident which took place at Village Arif ke in this border district. The incident reportedly took place yesterday evening after a heated arguments between two groups due to dispute over two kanal land possession.

As per information available, the injured has been identified as Surinder Singh (54) who was hit by a bullet on his leg by his nephew Tajinder Pal alias Happy son of Sucha Singh, a resident of Village Arif ke. The entire incident was recorded on a mobile phone, a video of which later went viral.

During the incident, Kamaldeep Singh son of Surinder, also got injured during the melee.

Surinder was admitted at one of the private hospitals in Muktsar.

Gurinder Singh SHO Arif ke said that the police had received the information about the incident. “The police is investigating the matter and action will be taken once the statements will be recorded”, said SHO.
