Delhi Economic Offence Wing (EOW), reported to have booked Ashneer Grover (founder & ex-director of complainant company), Mrs. Madhuri (Jain) Grover and others, under various relevent sections of IPC.
The case was registered on the complaint filed by M/s Resilient Innovations Pvt Ltd (BharatPe) after conducting enquiry, said EOW.
The Investigation of the case is underway.
(MOREPIC1)(SUBHEAD)It may be recalled that earlier in March, 2022, BharatPe had removed co-founder and managing director (MD) Ashneer Grover from all positions in the company. The fintech firm accused Grover’s family and relatives of engaging in extensive misappropriation of company funds. The company had said,
“The Board will not allow the deplorable conduct of the Grover family to tarnish BharatPe’s reputation or that of its hard-working employees and world-class technology. As a result of his misdeeds, Mr. Grover is no longer an employee, a founder, or a director of the company.
