The sleuths belonging to Crime Investigation Agency have nabbed two drug peddlers and have recovered two kg heroin from them.
SSP Bhupinder Singh said that following the inputs, a naka was laid near Satiyewala chowk on Ferozepur-Zira road during which the accused identified as Jaipal Singh, a resident of Khemkaran in Tarn Taran district, was nabbed while he was coming on his Swift car (PB 46 AA 6186) .(SUBHEAD)
The SSP said that during the checking of the car, the police recovered one kg heroin and one Phone from him following which the accused was booked under NDPS Act at Kugarhi police station (FIR No. 51 Dated 10.05.2023).
“During the preliminary investigation, Jaipal informed police about his accomplice Gurbaj Singh alais Baja, a resident of Village Manihala Jai Singh in Tarn Taran district who was later arrested by police today and one more kg heroin was recovered from him”, said SSP.
The SSP said that the accused Gurbaj Singh has already been booked in NDPS and Arms Act cases in Amritsar.
