ANMOL BATRA HONOURED BY HER ALMA MATER

Anmol Batra, who had some time back been selected to work as Scientific officer in the prestigious Bhabha Atomic Research Center Mumbai, was honoured by the staff and management of Singh Sabha Kanya Pathshala here where she had studied up to XII class.
The daughter of Parveen Rani and Raj Kumar Batra, a shopkeeper, had pursued her B.Sc and M.Sc degrees at Delhi University. As many as 400 candidates from different states had appeared in the test for the Bhabha Atomic Research Center Mumbai and only 10 were selected, she was the only successful candidate from Punjab.
The management of Singh Sabha Kanya Pathshala here felicitated Anmol at a programme. She said that the test was very tough, but with the blessings of her parents and the knowledge imparted by the teachers, she was able to clear the same to go ahead with her goals.
Jaspinder Singh Jakhar, president of the Singh Sabha Kanya Pathshala management, other members and principal Paramjit Kaur honoured Anmol by presenting a memento. They said that the institution was proud of Anmol who was the first girl in the region who won such laurels. Her father Raj Kumar Batra, a resident of Basant Nagar, was also present on the occasion.
