Border Security Force (BSF) troops and Punjab Police in a joint search operation near Indo Pak Border in Fazilka Sector reportedly recovered Heroin and one pistol. The contraband valued Rs. 10 crores in international market.
(MOREPIC1)(SUBHEAD) BSF said, on Wednesday morning, on specific information, BSF and Punjab Police teams jointly launched a search operation on the outskirts of bordering village – Bhamba Wattu Hithar, Distt – Fazilka.
During search, troops recovered 02 packets of narcotic substances (Gross wt – 2.1 Kgs) and 01 Pistol (without magazine and ammunition) kept inside a waterproof bag, from a farming field.
BSF and Punjab Police are acting in tandem to curb the drug menace and attempts of smugglers / anti-national elements along Punjab border, said BSF Spokesman.
