BSF troops reported shot down two pakistani drons on Indo Pak Border in Amritsar Sector on Friday evening at different locations.
On 19th May' 2023 at about 0855 PM, Border Security Force troops deployed in depth area, heard buzzing sound of a suspected drone, in the area near Village – Udhar Dhariwal, Distt – Amritsar. As per the laid down drill, the troops immediately reacted to intercept the drone by firing. During initial search of the area, BSF troops recovered a black coloured Drone (Quadcopter, DJI Matrice 300 RTK) in partially broken condition from the farming fields of Village – Udhar Dhariwal, Distt – Amritsar.
In yet another incident, on 19th May' 2023, at about 0924 PM, Border Security Force troops deployed in depth area, heard buzzing sound of a suspected drone and dropping of something inside the farming fields near Village – Rattan Khurd, District – Amritsar. As per the laid down drill, the troops immediately reacted to intercept the drone by firing.(SUBHEAD)
During subsequent search of the area, BSF troops recovered a Drone (Quadcopter, DJI Matrice RTK 300) alongwith a Consignment containing 02 packets of suspected Narcotics, attached with the drone, by means of iron ring, from the farming fields near Village – RattanKhurd, Distt – Amritsar. 04 Nos Luminous strips were also found attached with the Consignment, for easy detection.
The gross Weight of the recovered Consignment of suspected heroin is appx – 2.6 Kgs. Vigilant BSF troops stood firm to their commitment to fight against drones and drugs menace and foiled the nefarious attempts of the Smugglers / Anti – National Elements.
