Alert Border Security Force troops deployed in depth area, heard mild buzzing sound of a suspected Pak drone, in the area near Village – Bhaini Rajputana, Distt – Amritsar on Monday at about 0900 PM, .
As per the laid down drill, BSF troops immediately reacted to intercept the drone and successfully downed the Pak drone with the Contraband.(SUBHEAD)
During subsequent search of the area, BSF troops recovered a black coloured Drone (Quadcopter, DJI Matrice, 300 RTK) alongwith a consignment containing 02 packets of suspected Narcotics, attached with the Drone by means of iron ring, from the farming fields of Village – Bhaini Rajputana, Distt – Amritsar. A small torch (switch – on condition) was also attached with the consignment, for easy detection by the Smugglers.
The Gross Weight of the recovered Consignment of suspected Narcotics is appx – 2.1 Kgs, which valued more than 10 crores in international market.
Another nefarious attempt of Pakistan foiled by vigilant BSF troops, said BSF Spokesman in Jalandhar Punjab Frontier Headquarter.
