On 01st June 2023, on specific information of BSF, a Joint search operation was launched by BSF and CI Jalalabad (Punjab Police) at some houses of Village Chakkhewa, Distt – Fazilka.
(MOREPIC1)(SUBHEAD) During search, 02 suspects were taken in custody and on the basis of the revelation made by one of them, during interrogation, 03 packets of suspected Heroin (Gross weight – 2.5 Kgs) were recovered from the house of the individual.
The consignment was probably dropped by drone few days back and further concealed inside the house. The contraband valued near 18 Crores in international market.
The case was registered and further investigation follows.
Yet another coordinated action of BSF and Police against drugs led to the recovery of contrabands, said BSF spokesman in Jalandhar.
