MOHALI’S PURAB PREMIUM APARTMENT RESIDENTS PANICY AS TWO KIDS STUCK IN LIFT RESCUED

Purab Premium Apartment resident living in a panic as two kids got stuck in the lift at least 20 minutes as was rescued by residents of the locality on Thursday evening. The Purab Premium Apartment is located in Sector 88, Mohali and lookafter by Greater Mohali Development Authority (GMADA).

As and when two ikids entered the lift visit 13th Floor to collect some belongings , suddenly the power went off and children raised alarm loudlty and they could rescued in 20 minuts. One of the resident and the father of a victim Mr. Partap said both the childen stuck in the elevator..

Meawhile the children became unconscious. In hue and cry security staff and people rushed there but could not get them out. After this, Pratap's family contacted Mr. Rahul Sharma who lives in same locality and came there and opened the lift with key and saved both the children.

(SUBHEAD)Mr. Rahul Sharma, said there was no power backup and the elevetators needs to be proper repair. He told that we met the Punjab Governor few days ago and told him that there is no law to protect the users of elevators and even they filed a petition to Punjab and Haryana High Court.

The family has demanded that the lifts be repaired on priority bases to avoid such kind of incidents and demanded immediatge action against the erring officers as they have bought the flats by spending lacs of rupees and paying huge amount for maintenance.

In the meantimke the Distt. Police Administration to honour Mr. Rahul Sharma for saving life of Chidlren.
