Dr. Neerja Gupta, who has been serving in the Civil Hospital here for the last 20 years, has been appointed as Senior Medical Officer at the hospital by the Health Department. She took charge after completing the formalities today. Doctors and other staff welcomed her by presenting bouquets.
She was earlier promoted and posted at Civil Hospital in Jalalabad; the orders were amended yesterday to give her an opportunity to serve at the 100-bed Civil Hospital at Abohar.
After taking the charge Dr. Gupta said that she had been serving as radiologist in the hospital for the last 20 years and is aware of all kinds of problems faced by the staff of the hospital. She was confident of solving all the problems on a priority basis. The doctors and staff of the hospital assured her of cooperation in every way.
Dr. Dharamveer Arora, Dr. Sandeep, Dr. Dikshi Babbar, Dr. Saheb Ram, Dr. Mehak and others were present on the occasion.
