CHILDREN, ELDERLY AND PATIENTS TRAPPED ON THE UPPER FLOOR, MEDICINES AND FOOD ITEMS ARE NOT AVAILABLE

Due to rain for more than two days, the belongings and vehicles of the colony residents were submerged due to water logging in the Gulmohar City Society at Derabassi. Today people are being forced to leave their homes because they are not getting any help.
According to the information, water was coming from one side in Gulmohar City last day, due to which about 9 feet of water had risen in the entire society, after which the NDRF team had brought some people out of their homes today. The administration had made arrangements for food for the people last day, but since this morning people are sitting hungry, including small children, patients and the elderly.

It is also to be mentioned here that now water has started entering through the main gate of the society and another way, due to which an atmosphere of fear is being created among the people living in the society. The people of the upper floor were hopeful that if the water level recedes, they would go to the market and bring essential items for the house, but the situation remained as it was.
Due to the end of food items given to these people at home every day, children and elders are pleading with the administration to provide them milk, vegetables and medicines. People are facing a lot of difficulty due to non-availability of electricity in these flats. People of 5-6th floor are calling out for help from the balcony.
The residents of the society say that no help is being provided to them by the Derabassi administration. People are being evacuated with only one or two boats. They do not have food and water to drink due to which people are being forced to leave their homes. Some people are reaching out to their close relatives and some are thinking that who will hold their arm except their God. People expressed their displeasure and said that helpline numbers have also been issued by the local administration at the sub-divisional level, on which they did not get any help even after calling.
