UNION BANK OF INDIA GREEN LUDHIANA INTER SCHOOL PAINTING COMPLETION HELD

 OVER 35 SCHOOLS AND MORE THAN 700 STUDENTS PARTICIPATED, WINNERS FELICITATED BY CHIEF GUEST MR RAKESH KUMAR MITTAL REGIONAL HEAD UNION BANK OF INDIA

In a major initiative to spread environmental awareness by Team Solutions and The Rising Entertainer, an inter school painting competition was organised today at Ludhiana Club. The Union Bank of India Inter School Painting Competition was titled Green Ludhiana – Environment Revolution Begins with Greening Motherland.

(MOREPIC1)(MOREPIC2)The competition saw over 700 students from over 35 schools participating. Winners received bicycles from Hero Cycles and refreshments from Kitty Bread and Amul. Winners were felicitated by Chief Guest Mr Rakesh Kumar Mittal, Regional Head Union Bank of India. The Guest of Honour were Mr K K Chhabra President Ludhiana Club along with Mr Sanjay Kapoor Cultural Secretary of Ludhiana Club.

The competition was open to students from Classes 4-12.

Groups were as follows:

Class 4 and 5: Topic: Trees: Lifeline of Ludhiana

Class 6/7/8: Topic: Save Environment

Class 9/10/11/12: Topic: Beat Plastic Pollution

The eminent judges for the event were Mr Prabhinder Lall, Mrs Naresh Chopra, Mrs Ritu Dhir, Mrs Sonia Kumar from Society for Development of Film and Art (SODEFA).

The idea behind the event is to motivate children to take care of the depleting tree cover around us and to plant at least one tree this season.

Class 6/7/8: First: Amit Class 7 BCM School

Class 9/10/11/12: First: Harshita Class 9 DN Model School, Moga
