DGP HONORS POLICE OFFICIALS FOR THEIR COMMENDABLE WORK

(MOREPIC1)   Ferozepur: Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav Punjab today visited this border district to check the security measures ahead of the Independence Day. The DGP was accompanied by senior police officials from six districts on this occasion.

The DGP honored those police officials who had shown commendable work during the recent times. He also appreciated those police officials who were involved in the recovery 77 kg heroin along with arms and ammunition during two separate operations carried out by the sleuths belonging to CI wing on Sunday.

(SUBHEAD)Those officials who were honored with Commendation Disk included AIG CI Wing Lakhbir Singh and Inspector Baldev Singh besides SI Sanjeev Kumar and Jatinder Singh were given rank promotion stars. The other officials who were promoted as SI included Jaspal Singh, Gurpreet Singh and Sukhjinder Singh. Those who were promoted as ASI included Swarn Singh, Amardeep Singh, Gurminder Singh, Sukhwant Singh, Gurwinder Singh and Sukhdev Singh.

Overall 4 police officials from district Ferozepur, 11 from Fazilka, 6 from Moga, 6 from Faridkot, 17 from Muktsar and 5 from Tarn Taran were honored with commendation disks, promotions and certificates. While addressing the officials, DGP said that the Punjab police will continue its battle against the drugs and anti-social elements.

On this occasion, Ajay Maluja DIG Faridkot Range, Ranjit Singh DIG Ferozepur Range, Deepak Hilori SSP Ferozepur, Manjit Singh Dhesi SSP Fazilka, Gurmit Singh Chauhan SSP Tarn Taran , Harjit Singh SSP Faridkot, Harmanbir Singh Gill SSP Muktsar and J. Elanchezhian SSP Moga besides other senior officials were present.
