MEGA CAMP TO REDRESS PROBLEMS OF TRANSGENDERS HELD

Transgender Welfare Board constituted under the Chairmanship of Chairman, Transgender Welfare Board-cum-Additional Deputy Commissioner organized a Mega Camp on Monday at Bal Bhawan, Sector- 23, Chandigarh.

The camp was organized in collaboration with the department of the District Magistrate, Municipal Corporation, UADAI (Aadhar), Food and Supply and Consumer Affairs, Transport Department, Election Office, Regional Employment Exchange, Punjab National Bank, SACS, WCC/SC/BC, U.T. Chandigarh. The Camp was dedicated to main stream the Transgender Persons by providing them with a common platform wherein they could avail all benefits.

(SUBHEAD)The initiative undertaking by the board aimed to sort out the problems of Transgender Persons for  issue of ID Card.,  Issue of Voter, Issue of Aadhar Card., issue of Ration Cards., Issue of Employment Registration Card., Issue of bus pass., Issue of UDID Card to Disabled Transgender Persons., Issue of Senior Citizen Card to Senior Transgender Persons., Guidance to file ITR., uidance to avail concessional loan., uidance regarding Skill Development Courses in accordance to the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2019 and Rules, 2020.

The Camp was attended by approximately 26 Transgender Persons. Dr. Palika Arora, Director Social Welfare has directed all the officials of concerned Departments to make all efforts to sort out the problems of visiting Transgender Persons on the spot. Mx. Dhananjay Chauhan Non Official Member of Transgender Welfare Board also visited with number of Transgender Persons.
