HARYANA SCORES HALF CENTURY OF GOLD MEDAL IN NATIONAL GAMES, ATTAINED AT THIRD PLACE WITH 50 GOLD, 35 SILVER AND 50 BRONZE MEDALS

In the ongoing 37th National Games in Goa, Haryana players have achieved a significant milestone securing a total of 135 medals. Players have won 50 gold medals, 35 silver medals, and 50 bronze medals, placing them in the third position on the medal tally. However there are still 3 days left for the National Games to end.

On Monday, state player Suman Devi created history by winning the gold medal in the singles rowing event, while in the mixed team event, Kiran and Harvinder Cheema won the bronze medal for the state.

Kabaddi players have performed brilliantly and both men's and women's teams have entered the semi-finals. The men's team defeated Goa by a margin of 56–38. Whereas the women's team defeated Jharkhand by a huge margin of 43-15.

In the 25 meter shooting event of rapid fire pistol, Anish Bhanwala won the silver medal for the state while Adarsh Singh won the bronze medal.

Yoga competitions also started from Monday. On the first day, Abhishek won the state a silver medal in the traditional yoga asana event.

The result of the new sports policy of Haryana Government, hard work of all the players, collective efforts of coaches and officials is that today Haryana is performing best in sports.
