ANNUAL SPORTS DAY ORGANISED AT ST. JOHN'S HIGH SCHOOL

The Senior School Annual Sports Day was organised at St. John’s High School on 4th November 2023 with the wholehearted participation of students in the presence of their parents and invited guests.

The chief guest for the programme was Maj.Gen. Jasbir Singh Sandhu AVSM( Retd.), Director of Mai Bhago Armed Forces Preparatory Institute for Girls. In his address he encouraged the students to find their passion in life and use it to make the world a better place.

(SUBHEAD)The opening march-past included various houses, NCC contingent, silver jubilee batch of alumni (SJOBA) and majestic horse riders. The dedication and hard work of the students and teachers alike was evident in the spectacular drill performances which consisted of unique drills depicting yoga positions, bhangra moves, flags and harmony in nature. The archery and shooting display by the students was breathtaking.

Various races like sprint, hurdle and relays gave the athletes an opportunity to show their abilities. Students from outreach partner institutions like GRIID (Govt. Rehabilitation Institute for the Intellectually Disabled), SARVANI and Govt. Middle School, Sector 26, Chandigarh also participated in the races displaying amazing coordination.

The grand finale witnessed student pyramids of six levels each representing the four school houses and carrying socially relevant messages. The programme ended with the Principal's address and the vote of thanks.
