HARYANA ATHLETES CONTINUE TO SHINE AT 37TH NATIONAL GAMES

Haryana athletes continue to showcase remarkable performances at the 37th National Games, held in Goa. On Tuesday, both the men's and women's hockey teams made history by securing their spots in the finals. Apart from this women's kabaddi team also put on an impressive display to reach the final.

In the semi-final match, the Haryana men's hockey team defeated Uttar Pradesh with a score of 1-0, earning their place in the final. Simultaneously, the women's team defeated Punjab 4-2 in the semi-final, sealing their spot in the championship match. Notably, in 2015, both teams made it to the finals and semi-finals simultaneously, bringing home medals – the men's team won a bronze, and the women's team claimed a silver. This year, both teams are vying for gold.

(SUBHEAD)Haryana's women's kabaddi team also delivered an outstanding performance in the semi-finals, defeating Rajasthan with a significant 32-17 scoreline to secure their spot in the final.

Haryana's women's beach handball team triumphed over Delhi in the semi-finals. In boxing, Sweety Boora and Rinku advanced to the finals by winning their respective semi-final matches.

Nancy, in the shooting event, secured a silver medal for the state.

In archery, the women's team clinched the gold medal, while the men's team claimed silver, and the mixed team secured a silver medal for the state.

MP, Sh. Krishna Panwar and Haryana Olympic Association Treasurer, Sh. Manish Kumar Grover and other officers visited the athletes to boost their morale.
