UT GIRLS LOST TO RAJASTHAN BY EIGHT WKTS IN U15 ODI.

Chandigarh lost to Rajasthan by eight wickets in their last fixture of the women Under 15 ODI tournament being played at Vadodara on Saturday. After winning the toss, UT girls were restricted at 99/9 runs in 35 overs wherein Jasmeet (17) was the highest scorer. Geetika Garg added 15 runs while unbeaten Aditi Sheoron contributed 14. In reply, A fine half ton from Vrinda Sharma (55) helped Rajasthan to register a win in 21st over.  

Uttar Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh also won their matches

Riding on his form, skipper Deepak Hooda scored a brilliant half-century as Rajasthan registered a thrilling five-wicket win over Gujarat in a Vijay Hazare league match played ag GMSSS-26 on Saturday. Chasing down the neighbour's challenge of 129 runs, Rajasthan who was once struggling at 18/4 was blessed with captain’s knock of unbeaten 76 runs to put his team in the driver's seat. Earlier, Gujrat who opted to bat first was succumbed against Deepak Chahar (6/41) and bundled out for mere 128 runs in the 29th over. unbeaten Chirag Gandhi (43) was the top scorer.

In reply, unbeaten MK Lomror (26) along with Hooda surpassed the target in the 29th over.

Meanwhile, in another match played at the cricket stadium in Sector 16, Andhra Pradesh defeated Arunachal Pradesh by nine wickets. Arunachal won the toss and batted first and scored 234/4 runs with a century from unbeaten Sachin Sharma (100). In retaliation, Andhra’s unbeaten Ashwin Hebbar (103) and skipper KS Bharat (117) made the way easy for the batting side to register at the loss of just one wicket in 35th over. 

In the third match of the day played at Mahajan Cricket Ground, Uttar Pradesh defeated Himachal Pradesh by seven wickets. HP while batting first, scored 276 runs with a half-century from PS Chopra (61). In reply, UP achieved the target in the 37th over by losing three wickets. Swastik (117) scored century while Priyam Garg (74) smashed half century.
