ARORA SPOKE ABOUT EQUITABLE REPRESENTATION FOR SIKH COMMUNITY IN J&K

MP (Rajya Sabha) Sanjeev Arora on Monday spoke on the Jammu and Kashmir Reservation (Amendment) Bill, 2023 and the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill, 2023, and demanded of holding of elections in J&K simultaneous with Lok Sabha elections to be held in rest of the country next year.

He also highlighted the need for equitable representation and voiced support for the Sikh community in J&K, advocating for their reservation in Vidhan Sabha along with Hindu Pandits then at least one seat should be reserved for the Sikhs who have also suffered during the tragic era of terrorism in the past.

These Bills were introduced by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the Rajya Sabha today. The Bills have already been cleared by the Lok Sabha.
