ARMY BOYS SPORTS COMPANY WIN JUNIOR NATIONAL ROWING

Army Boys Sports Company topped the medal tally in the 43rd Junior National Rowing Championships at the Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh, they were followed by Haryana and Madhya Pradesh. SSC rowers emerged winners by winning two gold medals and one silver medal.

Sinder Baljeet clinched gold in junior men single scull for BSC in 3:38.3. Jaswant Singh, Rakesh Saini, Nitin Kumar and Lavi Udham Chaudhary excelled with better coordination to emerge champions in junior men four in 3:13.0. The winners were closely followed by Haryana team comprising Shme, Parveen, Sachin, Aman who clocked 3:19.6 for silver

Gursewak Singh and Prithvi Singh Cheema (Punjab) claimed gold in junior men double scull by crossing the finish-line in 3:17.3. Suraj Singh and Prateek Nishad of Army Boys Sports Company earned silver in 3:18.0 while the Haryana pair of Rahul and Sagar clinched bronze in 3:31.2.

(SUBHEAD)Suman Devi of Haryana finished well ahead of her rivals in the race for gold medal in junior women's single scull by clocking 4:10.8. Santosh Yadav of MPR will take home silver after clocking 4:16.3. Anna Helen Joseph of Kerala took 4:24.4 for bronze medal..

Chief Guest Mr Justice Sudhir Mittal presented the winners trophy to Army Boys Sports Company. Lt. General Harpal Singh PVSM,AVSM,ADC, former Engineer-in-Chief and Director General of Border Roads Organisation (BRO), Dr Neeraj Chadha IFS, MD Haryana Tourisum, Dr. Anmol Rattan Sidhu, Sr. Adv. President of Chandigarh Olympic Association and CRA. and organising secretary Advocate Rajiv Sharma were present on the occasion.
