Special Staff East District is mandated to keep a tab on the criminals involved in organized crimes of different categories. Gambling is such a menace that ruins families particularly that of downtrodden people. In the past also Special Staff East District was successfully able to contain this menace to spread by arresting several people involved in gambling activities.
In a major operation, a raid under the leadership of Inspector Satendra Khari, I/C Special Staff/East District comprising SIs Vineet Pratap Singh, Vikas Kumar, Rishi Pal, ASIs Amit Kumar, Mahesh Kumar, Amar Pal, HCs Kapil, Sanoj, Shani Rathi, Raj Kumar, Pawan Kumar, Rahul Kumar and Ct Ravi Kumar under the supervision of Sh. K.P. Malik ACP/OPS/East was conducted at two premises situated in 4-Block, DDA Market, Kalyanpuri, Delhi, and found several people involved in gambling using several incriminating things in gambling activities. Consequently, two cases vide FIR no 1093/23 U/s 3/4/5 Delhi Public Gambling Act PS Kalyanpuri, Delhi, and FIR No 1094/23 u/s 3/4 DPG Act PS Kalyanpuri, Delhi got registered and the investigation was taken up.
During interrogation, it was revealed that this gambling racket had been operated in a very clandestine manner for the last three months. Men in disguise were deployed on the stretch leading to the premises where gambling was being done just to alert any suspicious movement. The name of one Gajraj @ Gucchi Bhai R/o Trilok Puri has surfaced as the main operator behind this gambling racket, he is at large. Efforts are being made to nab him.
• A total of 17 persons were arrested in FIR No. 1093/23 u/s 3/4/5 DPG Act PS Kalyanpuri, Delhi with the recovery of Cash Rs. 78230, 128 playing charts,7 decks of card
• A total of 26 persons were arrested in FIR no 1094/23 u/s 3/4/5 DPG Act PS Kalyanpuri, Delhi with the recovery of Rs. 53110 cash, Casino Chakri, 336 slips, and 4 pads.
All the arrested persons are either daily wagers or doing random jobs. No previous criminal involvement of any of the accused found so far.
