“OPERATION SEEMA” LAUNCHED AGAINST DRUGS

Operation Seema (Combined Mission Against Addiction and Awareness) against drug addiction by the Sriganganagar district administration and police in collaboration with Tantia University has been launched.

Additional Superintendent of Police Satnam Singh was the chief guest at the program held in the auditorium of Tantia University.

University Vice Chairman Dr. Mohit Tantia and Executive Director K.S. Sukhdev appreciated the move and offered best wishes. Artists Vikram Jyani, Lakshya and Sahiram, under the direction of Neelam Jyani, presented a poignant portrayal of the ill effects of drug addiction through a drama, the eyes of most of the people in the packed auditorium became moist.(SUBHEAD)

University Registrar Dr. Vinod Sharma, Controller of Examinations Dr. Rajinder Godara, Psychiatrist Dr. Manish Baghla, Senior Relationship Officer Raj Kumar Jain also expressed their views. Ramesh, who benefited from the drug de-addiction center, narrated his success story about strength of mind that brings positive changes in life.

The guests offered flowers to the statue of Mother Saraswati. The poster of Operation Seema was released. A program will be held in Fatuhi village on Saturday.
