On the occasion of the 102nd birth anniversary of the world venerated saint Pramukh Swami Ji Maharaj, who established more than 1100 temples and 3 Akshardhams in different countries of the world, learned BAPS swamis were honored in a huge gathering in Kanad, Surat. Adarshjivan Swami addressed the morning assembly.
In the holy presence of Mahant Swami Ji Maharaj, scholars from different parts of the country remembered Pramukh Swami Maharaj and said that he spread the basic mantra of 'One's own good lies in the good of others' to the entire world. Apart from other communities, Pramukh Swami Maharaj especially inspired the tribals to lead an addiction-free life.
Prof. Virendra Kumar Tewari, Director, IIT Kharagpur, Prof. K.L. Panigrahi, Dean, IIT Kharagpur (HR) and Mr. Biswajit Bhattacharyya, Registrar, IIT Kharagpur, presented a Doctor of Science (D.Sc. Honoris Causa) award to Bhadresh Swami. Prof. Niranjan Bhai Patel, Vice Chancellor, Sardar Patel University, Gujarat, presented Doctor of Letters (D.Litt. Honoris Causa) certificate to Bhadresh Swami

Those who addressed the gathering included Swayam Prakash Swami (Dr. Swami), Prabhu Charan Swami, Uttam Prakash Swami, Munivandan Swami. s Anandswarup Swami, in-charge of Akshardham Gandhinagar, presented a shawl to Mahant Swami Maharaj.
