AYAAN BAGS BRONZE IN ASIAN YOUTH UNDER 12 RAPID TEAM CHESS

Eleven years old Ayaan Garg of Chandigarh won bronze in the Asian Youth Under 12 Rapid Team Chess Championship 2023 at Al Ain, United Arab Emirates where players from 13 countries of Asia had come to participate.

It is a big achievement for Chandigarh’s Ayaan Garg, a student of Strawberry High School, Chandigarh. His current Fide International rating is 1694. Ayaan contributed four points to his team to help India get a bronze medal in the rapid Under 12 category.

China with 16.5 points won the gold medal, Kazakhstan with 15.5 points got the silver medal and India with 14.5 bags the bronze medal 

Ayaan Garg has been trained by Naveen Bansal since the age of 7. “In the past 6 months, Ayaan has shown tremendous improvement and maturity.

In October he got 9th position out of 382 participants in the National Under 11 Chess Championship.
In the same month in the Matrix Cup International Open Fide Rating Chess tournament, he got 12th position out of 782 participants from all over India and abroad. 

In the AFCA Open Rapid Rating Chess Tournament on 28th and 29th October, he got 8th position out of 617 participants from all over India.” added Naveen Bansal
